I. Positive Coverage Statement (What is Covered)

Warranty Duration: 1-Year Limited Warranty.

To Whom This Warranty Applies: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Cray Loop (the “Product”). Old Man Blue Pty Ltd warrants that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal recreational use for a period of one (1) year starting from the date of original retail purchase.

This warranty specifically covers manufacturing defects affecting:

The integrity and structure of the tubing and casing.

The proper assembly and connection of the ferrules and attachments.

Failure of the internal spring mechanism unless the failure is directly caused by a bent or warped rod/shaft (see Exclusions below).

II. Remedy for Covered Defects (What We Will Do)

If a covered defect arises during the 1-Year Warranty Period, Old Man Blue Pty Ltd will, at its sole discretion, take one of the following actions:

1. Repair the defective component or Product at no cost to the customer.

2. Replace the defective Product with a new or functionally equivalent product of the same or similar model.

3. Refund the original purchase price of the Product.

Making a Claim:

1. To initiate a claim, the customer must contact Old Man Blue Pty Ltd within the Warranty Duration and provide proof of purchase (receipt) and a clear description of the defect.

2. We may require the customer to return the Product for inspection. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the Product to Old Man Blue Pty Ltd.

3. If the defect is confirmed to be covered by this warranty, we will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement Product back to the customer.

III. Limitations and Exclusions (What is NOT Covered)

The Cray Loop warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage resulting from, but not limited to, the following:

Rod/Shaft Bending or Warping (Leading to Spring Failure): Any bend, even cosmetic or minor, in the round rod/shaft is considered user damage and will void the warranty. This includes distortion caused by external force, improper use in tight spaces (such as when a diver bends the rod while ascending for air), or the user forcing the bent rod into the tube. This damage is considered misuse or improper handling/maintenance.

Wire Rope/Cable Damage (Fraying or Breaking): Damage to the stainless steel wire rope or cable, including fraying, breakage, or damage to the ferrule, caused by repetitive bending, striking against hard surfaces (like rocks), or abrasive use. This is considered user fault.

General Wear and Tear/Accidental Damage: Normal wear and tear, excessive use, or damage resulting from accidents, impacts, dropping, or use in a manner not deemed “careful” or “professional”

Improper Maintenance or Straightening: Failure to follow the recommended procedures.
